A new way this season...
This season we expect things to be the same but different. Since the pandemic started there has been many discussions about how we will get the kids back on the ice. In the past, we would seek guidance from Hockey Canada, BC Hockey, Pacific Coast and then our local branch Surrey Female for guidance on season plans. Our new normal is now working in conjunction with Public Health and Government agencies such as viaSport and BC Parks and Recreation who will guide us on what the Province has decided on what is safe to do.
The BC Government, on Aug 24th, has announced that we have entered into Phase 3 of 4 for the sport guidance and we are working with our local community hockey associations, Pacific Coast, and the City of Surrey on the newest phase announcement.
All players, coaches, team officials, spectators/parents (where allowed to be in the rink) must wear a face mask in common areas. Social distancing is required in common spaces as well.
